About Me
I was told by another member that this site is also for significant others and close friends. I guess I am both. My long-time "friend" came out to me last fall, and my only desire is to help and support her into full realization and peace of mind. But I must admit that I too am going through a process which, although like water finding its own level gets more comfortable and familiar every day, is still an ongoing evolution for me. I believe that the more I can truly understand a girl's point of view - with the attendant fears, needs, hopes, and just plain humanity - the more I can understand and support my friend. I can never empathize in the true sense of the word, I know - but I will try to come as close to it as I'm capable - not only for her, but for my own understanding and growth as well.
