About Me
I am a 73 year old transgendered person living near Raleigh, NC. I have been married to the same woman for the last 50 years. We have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. I am relatively new at venturing out dressed, having starting in 2007. My wife has known about my dressing for nearly 15 years, but believed until recently that I had it under control. I have joined several support groups, attend therapy sessions, and subscribe to many TG groups online. I enjoy meeting people with similar experiences as me. I went to my first SCC in 2007. I was told it would be a memorable experience. It really was and I am glad I went. In early August 2008, I had prostate cancer surgery. I am now doing fine. Appears the cancer was confined to the long-gone prostate. Don't let anyone fool you into not monitoring your PSA regularly. Mine was not over the worry level of 4.0 when mine was discovered. I realized that for all the years I had been checking it, it remained near 1.0. When it increased to nearly 4.0, I knew something was happening. Fortunately, the cancer was contained in the prostate. Removal was the option I chose. Once it spreads beyond the prostate, there is no cure. Various treatment options will help keep it under control for a time. I am including some recent pictures of outings over the last few months.
