About Me
It's hard to know, a lot of times, if you're a cross-dressing female, because it is acceptable for women to wear many of the clothes I always felt most comfortable in. I have often felt able to be myself around most of my friends, because we're all sci-fi / fantasy geeks anyway, so being different never really stood out like it should have, I guess... except I find myself playing male characters in RPGs. But now that I understand more about gender identity, I look back at my life and think, "Was I always that obvious? How did I not see this before?" Of course I do have my more girly days from time to time, but most of the time I wish I didn't have to BE "one or the other". I would love the ability to just pull my apparent gender out of the closet every morning, and have everybody in the world see on the outside what I'm feeling inside... and if that winds up being male more often than female (like it seems to), so be it.
So now that you know why I'm here... there is, of course, a lot more to me. I'm a writer, primarily of short stories and unfinished novels, though also poetry and song lyrics from time to time. I love speculative fiction in all its different forms, from sci-fi to fantasy, from books and comics to TV and movies. I play both tabletop RPGs and computer games (current digital obsessions are City of Heroes and The Sims 2; current RPG systems I'm playing are HERO System, D&D and Seventh Sea). Other than that, music has always been the other driving force in my life. I sing both alto and tenor, play piano, and write my own music. I also love MIDI and electronic music, and if I had the money for it, I'd have the necessary equipment and software to create music at home. I listen mostly to New Age, Progressive Rock, and ANYTHING that combines a symphony orchestra with electric guitars (TSO comes to mind).
I know there's a lot more that could be said of me, but I can only write so much here. Feel free to em
