About Me
My name's Jennifer and I've actively been pursuing transition since May 2007.
I came out extended family in early 2008. Most try to be civil, but even the best are merely tolerant and have religious beliefs that preclude them supporting me. I am essentially alone except for what support I build for myself (although I've made lots of friends, which is cool).
I do have a family (spouse and children), but we decided that it would be better if I moved out before visible changes occured. I currently live in an apartment in the city and still stay in regular contact with my kids. They're very open now and miss me being around, but once I go full-time, it's uncertain how rough things might get... hopefully we'll ride out the storm together.
My budget is tanked too, so I'm looking for part-time work to make ends meet. *wry*
I've done the majority of my electrolysis and am on spiro and estradiol with a doc's prescription.
Looking for trans-friendly people as well as other pre/post-op m2f's who I can give support to and get support from... both in time spent re-socializing myself as female as well as learning what resources are available in this area. I would really like some genetic gals who can help me learn what I need to, to fit in as a woman; and guy friends who don't have hangups about being seen with me in public. (My life is just too complicated for romance, I just want the relationships right now.)
I'm a musician, writer, artist, thinker, reader, hiking, spiritual, explorer sort of gal with a witty sense of humor and a love for science and poetry = eclectic, very much so.
I also belong to a great trans support group called TransCentralPA (www.TransCentralPA.org) located in Harrisburg. Guests and new members are always welcome!
