About Me
Hi! My name's Helena. I like to get out every so often, but I also enjoy just cuddling up for a movie at home.
My passions lie in the arts, but usually in the media arts. Things like video, film, graphic design, and writing. I guess it would help if someone had a good appreciation of these mediums, but didn't actually work in them.
I'm very goal oriented, and I have to keep moving forward. As an example, in 2008 I started HRT, finished laser treatments, moved in my own apartment, changed my legal documents for name and gender, started a program for trans people, worked on a committee for multiculturalism, worked as the newsletter facilitator in a trans youth organization, and I've also attained my GED.
Right now, I've been going to school and taking a whopping 25 class hours a week! YIKES! On top of that, I've been working as a PA, Grip, Gaffer, Camera Operator and Second Unit Photographer for some indie movies around Detroit. I'm also working on producing a weekly podcast that will feature the various Indie Films produced in this area. Other then that, I'm just living the dream!
So, does anyone feel they can keep up with me? I'd love someone who knows how to zig and zag at the right time.
