About Me

I was especially fascinated by one sheer embroidered organza blouse over an exquisite lace brassiere. When she hugged me, as a mother does, the texture and lightness of the fabric, the gentle sound it made moving over her bra, were mesmerizing. Left alone at play I wandered into her closet and slipped into that blouse. It was a pleasant tactile experience and an agreeable rush. Too young to question the nature of this new discovery I returned for a "fix" as often as possible. On one occasion I had somehow managed a bra and was wearing the blouse when Dad happened by the doorway and did a double take worthy of Oliver Hardy. At age five I had no notion of the inpropriety I was engaged in, after all it was quite natural to emulate both parents. Thankfully, Dad's response was reserved. He helped me remove the garments and expained that men didn't wear women's clothing, then tried to distract me with a tricycle ride about the neighborhood. Nice try, Dad! In future I must be certain no one's around. Not a frequent occurance however as most of my time was supervised. My young brain did, however, manage to come up with an ideal solution. My gamble was that one or two items missing from Mom's seemingly vast wardrobe over a brief period of days would likely go unnoticed. I became exceedingly adept at this short term sneak thievery and limited my indulgence to nights, mostly under the covers in case one or the other parent checked in on me. My only concern was that in the process of tidying my room Mom might discover my stash. Timing or luck, I was never busted again. Now 60 years later I am still obsessed with female clothing. "Fussy" gowns and petticoats make me nuts! I long for a "sister" to share my wardrobe. Are you out there Sis?
