About Me

About my life... well, I'm an unconventional woman. I guess we're all unique to some extent, but I think of myself as unconventional so we'll go with that.
Also, forgive me as I have cribbed from my profile on a social networking site. :)
I've felt feminine and female all of my life and have been living as a woman since 1993--so I've had plenty of time to know myself well and get comfortable in my own skin, so to speak. I've avoided a relationship before now because my physical transformation seemed like a complicated process to ask someone else to share. But here I am, with peace and an open heart, ready to share my life.
I have a circle of a few close friends. Curiosity is one of my favorite parts of myself and I can be impulsive in seeking the next venture that will satisfy it. It has been my observation that life runs from horrid to wonderful and that it is how we deal with the ups and downs that defines us. I hope to find a partner to share the ride.
I'm something of a trailblazer and look forward to finding new trails in a happy partnership, whether romantic or in friendship.
Old-school romance has a definite appeal to me. I love exchanging flowers and other small, thoughtful gifts. I don't believe in feeling locked into traditional gender roles, and want all to feel free to express their full range of thoughts and emotions. Conversation takes both talking and active listening and I hope to find a friend with a gift for them both.
I'm generally a bit conservative in my outlook in that ostentation has no real appeal for me. A quiet, happy life together seems to me one of life's most amazing gifts.
An easy laugh has always been very attractive to me, especially when a person can laugh at themself as easily as at others. And I love people who know themselves well enough to hold true to themselves in every situation and treat others with kindness and a non-judgmental attitude.
