"Reports: It has been a year since I began to venture from my self-imposed isolation. I have never been happier, more contented and alive than I am today. During this last year, my goal was to live my life with courage and dignity. At first, I had to put on my bold face to mask my fears. Now I hold my head high, look people in the eye and am proud of who I am. As I start my second year, I have added to my goal. I will live my life with Courage, Dignity and Purpose. What I am and what I can do are unique gifts given to me. I must not waste them by hiding and denying my true self. There will be some: friends, family, strangers, who will not be please, but I must be true to myself and strong. Those out there who accept what and who I am, I thank you. For those who wish to stand beside me on this journey, I welcome you with open arm. It is going to be an adventure."

About Me
I am a mature transgendered woman who has recently come out of hiding and is basking in the light of day, truth and adventure. I love who I am and who I am becoming. I enjoy everyday. I continue to grow in my femininity, with courage and dignity.
I love my wife, my children, my dog and sailing,. I love reading, writing, cooking, sewing, walking in the woods or along the beach. I work in the computer industry to feed my family and write novels to feed my soul.
I came out in the summer of 2009 to my wife and a few friends. I am slowly increasing that as needed. I've always been a fighter and am using the written word as my weapon of choice in our struggle for acceptance and equal rights.
I love conservative, tasteful dress, southern charms and ladylike demeanor. I feel equally at home in the kitchen, the workshop and the deck of a blue-water sailboat.
I love good conversation, red wine, chocolate, dancing and friends around the dinner table. A perfect morning is silk pajamas, strong black coffee, warm cinnamon rolls and a newspaper.
I like holding hands, rainbows, owls, Gerber daisies, rare steak, kissing, theater, poetry puppies, a crackling fire in the hearth, sailing on a broad reach in the tropics, good friends and cuddling.
I work as a software developer to feed my family and write novels to feed my soul.
I am Cate. There's nothin' like a dame!
