I am a 61 year old post op transgender woman. Recently retired from the software business. I am partnered with a wonderful woman whom I have been with for the last 17 years.
My hobbies include flying, sailing, amateur radio, wildlife photography, especially metal detecting, and just enjoying life here in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Especially the slower paced lifestyle it has to offer.
We live in the town of Bridlington which is a seaside fishing town and summer resort nestled between Scarborough and Hull on the North East coast of England. it seems unchanged since the late 1950's or early 1960's. Its retro atmosphere reminds me of when i was growing up in the New Jersey shore town of Barnagate.
We live in an old brick house with a slate roof and stained glass windows built during the Art Deco period in 1933 with our dog, Penelope, a beagle. She is quite a hand full at times but full of love. We also have two tabby cats named Monticue and Albert.
Sandra (my partner) is the kindest, sweetest and most loving person I have ever had the privilege to know. We have been together for over 17 years now, and it seems like we met only yesterday, I hope to die with her at my side.
We have been living a "stealth" lifestyle. Our neighbours just think we are two old ladies who are sharing a house to save on living expenses, a few think we are sisters and the more progressive ones think we are just two old lesbians. I do not correct them.
Each and every day I wake up to a life long dream come true. until I transitioned I really did not know love or happiness. I thought I did, but was only fooling myself. it was not until after my transition was complete that I liked who and what I was. unless you love yourself, you cannot understand what true love of others is. now I walk around with a smile on my face that refuses to go away
