I'm just a Canadian girl living in the big city.
Hi! My name is Brianna Amore, which means "love" in various Romance languages. Why "love"? Because through my life's journey I finally learned how to love myself and to truly be the person I've always been, hidden beneath a gruff masculine shell.
As a man, I was a soldier, a rock climber, a mountaineer, an "adventurer", a DJ, a college instructor. But it was all emptiness. None of it was real, just ways that I could distract myself from the truth of my existence as a trans woman. Finally, I could bear it no longer so I left Canada and started a new life in California, where I began my transition in 2012.
Since then, none of my fears ever materialized. And one of my biggest fears was that I would be unemployable, unlikeable, unloved, and rejected by my family. Through my process I have developed a deep spiritual connection and I am surrounded by some of the most beautiful people you'll ever meet. I've built myself a solid career as a digital animator creating cutting-edge content for an industry that seems to be totally devoid of trans people.
I am unique, I am different, I accept myself, and I am FREE!
Now I'm just waiting for the surgery process to begin as I'm on a waiting list here in LA, where many trans people live and exist in peace. I love it here, I love the openness, I love the environment, I love the creativity, and I love how accepting people are of those who are different. All my life I tried to fit in with the crowd, to be "acceptable" while I was slowly dying inside.
Life is beautiful and I intend to live it fully!
What do I like to do? Well, I'm a gamer nerd, I build computers, I hike, I camp, I travel, I DJ dance parties, I love good food, great conversation, and delicious company. And I'm a ninja in the kitchen!
