About Me
Hi- if this works (and I emphasize IF since it will be my 3rd attempt to submit this) I will breathe a sigh of relief.
I've recently finished my Masters degree- my university's first transexual in their School of Business and have to say that it was a wonderful experience. I've actually been asked to come back and teach classes, which I am now considering... Professor Marissa!
Before grad school, I lived the cliche closeted-transexual life... married, macho job (yes Virginia, I AM an Airborne-Ranger), all while flirting with massive depression and self-destructive behavior. After I was injured in Kuwait, I took a long look at my life and realized that I needed to make some fundamental changes. A few years later, voila, here I am... 40 and fabulous (well... working on it anyway! ;) )
Before I transitioned, I found URNA to be a tremendous source of inspiration and strength... remnding me that I, indeed, was NOT alone. I'd like to thank all of my wonderful sisters here... those that led the way and those that are just venturing out... I wish you all the best!
