3 months of working and living as myself, and everything is going well at work and with all of my friends. I explained my gender issues and current situation to my sister, and that seems to be OK, too. I find that living as a woman is becoming easier and more normal each day, which is the exact opposite of my life before transition, and that makes all the difference. Really important news in my life: I talked to my HR director at work almost 2 weeks ago, explained that I am transgender, and asked what could be done to allow me to be myself at work.
The subsequent response from my company and coworkers has been thoughtful and positive, and I have been working and living 100% feminine for a week now.
I can honestly say that I am starting to love my life. It's about time, right?
Describing all of my feelings at the moment would be nearly impossible.
I don't want to give anyone the impression that this is easy for me. However, I am discovering my confidence, my grace and my composure, day by day.
I feel I am finally becoming a whole person and facing the world on my terms, and I am happy.
For years I have drawn inspiration from this amazing community, and I hope that my news provides hope and encouragement for others like me.
