About Me
Professional jazz fusion bassist who has been playing exclusively fretless bass since 1976 and as my sole source of income since 1979.I've played in over 40 bands..most notably The Defects, Willy Hop ,Squeezeplay,Bethia,Big Ethyl,Midnight Train,Vox Violins The Dark,Myf The Aaron MacDonald Band,and the John Campbelljohn Trio.I'm a male to female transsexual and I began hormonal replacement therapy and transitioned into living fulltime female in 2005.This has basically been career suicide for me musically unfortunatly,and I was hired by Atlantic Wholesalers,Superstore as the first Trans Female hired in her identified gender of female by them nationally.I worked one year night crew then moved to day shift as the assistant to the manager of the health and beauty department, a very affirming job for my female psyche.I married my TS life partner, Julia James,in October of 2010 and retired from Superstore a few days later.I'm currently attempting to get some work playing music again, and may have a position as bassist in a new all girl rock band I'm excited about.:)
