About Me
Needless to say, as a 5'-15" blue-eyed blonde, I do tend to attract a little bit of attention whenever I step out onto the stage to perform at various LGBT functions here in the very trans-friendly "Windy City".
NOPE, I am not a "drag queen" (not that there's anything wrong with that!), if that's what you were thinkin'.
Actually, for many years my primary career has been backstage, working behind the scenes "making the magic happen".
However, for those of us employed in that business we call "show", applause is an aphrodisiac, so on those occasions when I do perform, I sing with my natural voice, and I seldom wear wigs (only on "bad hair days", or if they go with the costume) anymore.
In addition, I have been a pro-active member of the Chicago-area TG/TS community, working for equal (NOT "special") rights for ALL gender-variant folks for a lot more years than I'll ever admit to in public.
"Say it loud, and say it proud!", eh?
At other times, I enjoy riding motorcycles, reading books, a bit of gourmet cooking, listening to all kinds of LIVE music, and watching movies with a close friend or two, not necessarily in that order.
Stangely enough, I understand there's a TG/TS Yahoo group out there in cyber-space known as "Cyndi's Circle" that deals with all issues pertaining to transgendered equality.
Check it out if you're so inclined.
For what it's worth, my philosophy about friends is pretty much the same as my beliefs regarding great food, good tequila (my fave), and most of the other "finer things in life", which is to say: quality is far more important than quantity.
I also believe that if one does not "live on the edge" then clearly they're taking up too much space.
