About Me

Continuing the story of Barbara's public emergence, she had a wonderful makeover done by Amanda Richards, who managed to bring out a beauty in her that others have not. Public outings include a GLBT formal in Cincinnati and the URNA party in Columbus.

A bit about me: I'm petite as a woman (5'4"), well-educated and well-traveled, having spent much of my adult life overseas. This experience has led me to a progressive, humanistic worldview. My interests include travel, music, culinary arts and nature/travel photography.

I'm on the "old" end of the age spectrum here, but it's been wonderful chatting with other "mature" URNA members, just to know that there are others out there with similar experience. Still, I can't help but wish a forum like URNA had been around when I was in my twenties. I'm sure my life would be entirely different now.

I've been dressing since my early teens, with a few breaks and purges along the line. My wife caught me fully dressed a few years ago, but even after that and my few times out, I'm still pretty much in the closet at home. That said, just in the last few months, she's become much more accepting, to the extent that she has given me her blessing to attend this year's SCC.

Fortunately, she travels occasionally on business, which allows me to dress for long periods at a time. Since I have a home office, I get up and get dressed for work just like any GG secretary/businesswoman would during those absences.

I love chatting here, but a bit about what I call Friend Collectors: I'm old-fashioned; when I call someone a "friend," it means that I've at least met that person somewhere and chatted with her. If that is the case, I'll be happy to add you; if we've never met, and you're just racking up numbers, please don't force me to deny your add request.
