About Me

Hello!...I'm Jackie...

...well well, here I am about 4 years into my trek to be who and what I always sensed I was. I started out as most do I suppose. Experimenting, learning, drawing on events of the past, taking baby steps...each one focusing on this unusual (by many peoples standards) sense of self that I've always carried around with me. I sought the acceptance of my wife and got it. Of course, she's always been an open minded lady and our life has never been what most would call 'normal' (I never cared much for 'normal'). What a wonderful friend and trans ally she is. Without her I wouldn't be where I am now... and any thought of moving forward would have ended long ago, or, at least been made so much harder as it is for so many. Now, if I could only put my 22 year old son's mind at ease. But he's just now finding out who he is and that's fine.

I see gender as being fluid... and in my case I don't see myself as a man but not quite as a woman either...at least not yet. Am I a TV? Am I a TS? Somewhere in between I guess. My body and face are changing. I'm looking more fem every day...growing out my hair to see if there's any hope of parking my wig for good. We'll see how that goes! LOL I'm just inching forward one small step at a time...and that's fine with me...just enjoying the journey as they say. I don't feel as though I need to fit perfectly into any category or under any label...I know people who identify to all different categories and labels and I'm not exactly like any of them. I can relate well to the term 'gender fluid'. It suits me...for now, and, who knows, maybe for always. Time will tell.

I am a very happy gender fluid person. Thankfully, I have many friends and allies...no real enemies to speak of. Just a few who I'd describe as being aligned with the religious right who have issues with me...of course these types have issues with everything...and they all vote Republican.
