About Me
Welcome to my profile. My name is Miranda and I am a transitioning male to female transsexual located just south of Pittsburgh. I love the city of Pittsburgh and have been living here for over a decade. This city has lots to offer though sometimes it is hard to find what you are looking for. I love the culture of Pittsburgh and always looking in the city paper for fun things to do on the weekend. I can always be found “hangin out an dat” on the south side during the summer.
I am a transsexual, per Dr. Conway’s study; I am 1 out of 2,500 genetic males who will undertake gender transition. That makes me 1 of the estimated 64 transsexuals in the 160,000 genetic males in Pittsburgh. While gender transition has been difficult on many levels, I look back fondly over the last few years at what I have accomplished. I have survived FFS, my body works well with HRT, failed with laser hair removal, found success with electrolysis, and found accepting professors in my graduate degree program that care and support. Struggles still remain such as more FFS, breast augmentation, and potentially SRS. Like most transgender women, the limits now are financial.
I have tons of hobbies that I fill the short periods of my free time with. I spend lots of time with my room mate and my dog out hiking in the parks of the tri-state area. It’s not uncommon to see pictures of my hiking experiences on my website. Dakota being a malamute is excessively strong and with her backpack she carries a good bit of the hiking supplies. I also have taken up photography when I hike and plan to include my nature scenes on my website in the near future.
I am also a huge Dave Matthews fan. I would love to meet Dave and thank him personally for his poetry and music as it has been inspirational in my life. I also wish I could have the band sign my fire dancer flag that goes to every tailgate I do for his concert.
I also love to rollerblad
