Hi!...I'm Jackie
...well, here I am about 4 years into my trek to be who and what I feel I am. I started out as most do I suppose. Experimenting, learning, taking baby steps...each one building my confidence. I sought the acceptance of my wife and got it. What a wonderful friend she is. Without her I wouldn't be where I am now... and any thought of moving forward would have ended or, at least been made so much harder as it is for so many.
I see gender as being fluid... and in my case I don't see myself as a man but not quite as a woman either...at least not yet. Am I a TV? Am I a TS? Somewhere in between I guess...but steadily moving toward transition. My body is changing, my face as well. (Yes, electrolysis hurts!) I'm looking more fem every day...growing out my hair to see if there's any hope of parking my wig for good. We'll see! LOL I'm just inching forward one small step at a time...and that's fine with me...just enjoying the journey. I don't feel as though I need to fit perfectly into any category or under any label...I know people who identify to all different categories and I'm not exactly like any of them...maybe I'll be my own category!
I was happy at my beginning and I'm still happy today. Delighted actually. I need to find a crystal ball so I can see if I'll be happy around the next bend in the road. I think I will be!
